How to Install and Use Custom Cursor Resource Packs
Where Custom Cursors Come From
The mod reads cursor textures from resource packs, so any pack that follows its folder and file naming convention will show up as selectable cursors. This is how you get animated or themed cursors that are not bundled with the mod itself.
Installing a Pack
1. Place the resource pack .zip in your instance's resourcepacks folder.
2. Enable it from Options → Resource Packs and move it up the list so it overrides lower packs.
3. Open the Cursors Extended settings and look for the new entries — they are usually grouped or labelled by the pack name.
4. Select the cursor you want and apply it.
Making Sure It Loads
If nothing new appears, the pack's internal folder structure or file names do not match what the mod expects. Open the zip and compare its layout against a working cursor pack — the folder path and the image file names must match exactly, including case. Animated cursors use a strip or sequence of frames rather than a single image, so a static-only pack will not animate. After fixing the structure, reload resource packs with the in-game reload key or restart, then recheck the cursor list. Pack-provided cursors behave exactly like built-in ones and still swap contextually.
