Identifying Treasure-Worthy Water

Not all water sources are equal for fishing treasure. The Fishing Ruler indicator's color changes to tell you whether your current fishing spot can yield treasure items.

Checking Your Fishing Location

1. Cast your fishing rod into the water you want to fish

2. Look at the color of the line length indicator above your hotbar

3. The color will reflect whether this water source is large enough for treasure fishing

4. If the color indicates the water is too small, move to a larger body of water

Finding Better Spots

Larger water sources—like oceans, large lakes, or rivers—are more likely to produce treasure. If your indicator shows your current water is inadequate, relocate to:

• Ocean biomes
• Large natural lakes
• Rivers with significant width

Use the color feedback to confirm you're in a good spot before investing time fishing. This saves you from wasting effort in locations that won't yield valuable loot.
