Survive Your First Night in the Sanctuary
Secure Your Starting Area
When you spawn, you'll be inside or near the Sanctuary—a small cobblestone and glass structure. Your first priority is to stay inside this safe zone during the initial radiation phase. The air outside is toxic and will damage you, so avoid venturing out immediately.
Set Up Basic Supplies
Loot the chests already present in the Sanctuary to find starter materials. Use the furnace to smelt any raw materials you collect. Place torches around your shelter to prevent hostile mobs from spawning in dark corners. If you find a written book, read it—it contains survival tips and lore about the last survivors.
Prepare for Zombie Attacks
Zombies will attempt to breach the Sanctuary. Reinforce doors and windows with extra blocks if needed. Keep weapons and tools in accessible chests. Stay alert during night cycles, as hordes will be more aggressive. Don't waste resources fighting unnecessarily—focus on defense and survival rather than aggression.
The radiation slowly decreases over time. Monitor your surroundings and check if you can venture outside without taking damage. Once it's safe, you can begin scavenging the wasteland for better supplies and materials.
