Final Battleground Map FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start a new Final Battleground world?
Create a new world and select Final Battleground Map as your world type. You'll spawn inside the Sanctuary, a small safe zone surrounded by a bedrock wasteland. Gather the basic supplies around you and prepare for your first night before venturing outside.
What is the radiation and how does it work?
Radiation is a hazard in the air outside the Sanctuary that damages you over time when exposed. The radiation slowly clears as you progress through the map, eventually allowing you to safely explore the wasteland for longer periods without taking damage.
Can I leave the Sanctuary right away?
You can leave immediately, but you'll take radiation damage outside. It's safer to gather resources from inside the Sanctuary first, prepare armor and tools, then make short trips into the wasteland as your radiation resistance improves.
Where do I find supplies and loot?
Search the ruins scattered throughout the wasteland and look for hidden chests buried in the terrain. The Sanctuary also contains initial supplies in chests and furnaces to help you get started.
How do I deal with zombie hordes?
Craft weapons and armor from materials you find, and use the Sanctuary's defenses to your advantage. Stay inside during peak zombie activity, and when you venture out, keep moving and avoid getting surrounded by large groups.
What are the changes to the Nether and End?
Both dimensions have been updated with new layouts and challenges fitting the Final Battleground theme. Prepare thoroughly with good gear and supplies before entering, as these areas are more dangerous than the standard versions.
Can I modify the Sanctuary or build outside it?
The Sanctuary is a fixed structure, but you can modify it by placing and breaking blocks inside. Building outside the Sanctuary is possible, though you'll need to manage radiation exposure while constructing.
What new items does this mod add?
The mod includes various survival-focused items to help you stay alive in the wasteland. Check your crafting menu and explore the ruins to discover what's available—many items are found as loot rather than crafted.
Why am I taking damage even inside the Sanctuary?
The Sanctuary should protect you from radiation damage. If you're taking damage inside, check that you're actually within the safe zone boundaries, as radiation can leak in at the edges or if you're standing outside the protected area.
Is there an end goal or win condition?
Final Battleground is a survival map focused on exploration and resource gathering rather than a specific end goal. Challenge yourself by exploring deeper into the wasteland, visiting the Nether and End, and seeing how long you can survive.
