Fellowship Of Crafters FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I tame my first companion?
Find a companion mob wandering in the world, then hold their preferred taming item (cooked meat for Steve/Alex, Rotten Flesh for Zombie, Bone Meal for Skeleton, Gunpowder for Creeper, or Wither Rose for Wither Skeleton) and right-click them repeatedly until hearts appear above their head. Once tamed, they'll follow you and won't despawn.
Why does my Skeleton buddy keep dying?
Skeleton Buddies are vulnerable to sunlight and will burn during the day, plus they're afraid of untamed wolves. Keep them in shade, give them a helmet to reduce sun damage, or avoid areas with wild wolves until they're well-equipped.
Can I make my Creeper buddy not hurt my other companions?
No, Creeper Buddies deal friendly fire to nearby allies when they explode, so position them carefully in combat or keep them at a distance from your other companions during fights.
What's the best way to keep my buddies alive in combat?
Give them stacks of food so they can heal automatically when damaged, equip them with armor for defense, and consider putting a Totem of Undying in their off-hand to survive lethal damage. You can also make human buddies draw aggro away from you.
How do I equip my buddy with weapons and armor?
Right-click your tamed buddy while holding the item you want to give them—armor pieces, weapons, tools, mob heads, or off-hand items will all equip. Food goes in their left hand, and they'll eat it automatically when hurt.
Which buddy type is fastest?
Alex Buddy has the fastest movement speed among all companions, making them ideal for exploration and kiting enemies during combat.
Can my human buddies use Flint and Steel or Fire Charges?
Yes, if you equip a human buddy (Steve or Alex) with Flint and Steel or Fire Charges in their hand, they'll ignite enemies during combat, dealing extra damage.
What does the Random Armor Stick do?
The Random Armor Stick is a creative-mode-only item that instantly equips your buddy with a random set of gear, useful for quickly testing different loadouts.
How do I make my buddy stop following me?
Right-click your tamed buddy to toggle between follow mode (shown by green particles) and stay mode (shown by black particles). In stay mode, they'll remain in place until you toggle them back to follow.
Why is my Zombie Buddy taking damage in daylight?
Zombie Buddies burn in direct sunlight, so equip them with armor (especially a helmet) or keep them in shade, indoors, or underground during the day to prevent damage.
