Fast Trading Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using the Fast Trading Mod?
Open any villager's trading GUI as you normally would and look for the quick trade button added next to each trade entry. Click it to automatically perform that trade as many times as possible until it locks.
What does the quick trade button actually do?
It repeats a single selected trade for you in one click, running it until the trade is maxed out and locked or until you run out of materials. You don't have to spam-click the trade output slot anymore.
Does quick trading work on all villager trades?
It works on any trade the villager offers, including enchanted books and gear, as long as you have enough of the required input items in your inventory. Trades that are already locked can't be quick traded further.
Why did my quick trade stop early?
The most common cause is running out of the required input item or emeralds partway through. The button only performs trades you can actually afford, so restock your materials and click again.
Do I need the items in my inventory or can they be in a chest?
The required items must be in your inventory for the quick trade to work. Items sitting in nearby chests or shulker boxes won't be pulled automatically.
Can I quick trade multiple trades at once?
Each trade has its own quick trade button, so you trigger them individually. This lets you max out one trade at a time without affecting the others on the same villager.
Does quick trading affect villager prices or reputation?
No, it performs the same trades you'd make manually, so demand-based price increases and reputation changes happen exactly as they normally would. You just skip the repetitive clicking.
Is Fast Trading Mod compatible with other villager or trading mods?
It generally works alongside mods that keep the vanilla trading GUI, since it just adds a button to that screen. Mods that completely replace the trading interface may not show the quick trade button.
Will quick trading cause lag on a server?
The mod performs trades in quick succession, so on a busy server with many players trading at once you may notice brief spikes. It's usually fine for singleplayer and small servers.
The quick trade button isn't showing up, what's wrong?
Make sure the mod is loaded and that you're opening a vanilla-style villager trading screen. If another mod overhauls the trading GUI, its interface may hide or replace the button.
