How Cooldown Works Now

With Fast Tool Switching Mod installed, your weapon cooldown persists even when you switch items. This means the attack speed penalty designed into heavy weapons cannot be bypassed through inventory manipulation.

What Changed from Vanilla

In vanilla Minecraft, switching away from a weapon and back resets its cooldown timer. This mod removes that exploit. When you strike with a weapon that has a long cooldown period, that cooldown continues counting down regardless of which hotbar slot you select.

Practical Impact

Switching to a different tool or weapon won't help you attack faster with the original weapon. This affects:

• Heavy swords with extended cooldowns
