How to Place Paintings Without Tanking Your FPS
Why Fast Paintings Helps Here
Vanilla Minecraft re-renders every painting as a separate entity each frame, so a wall covered in artwork can quietly become one of the biggest performance drains in your base. Fast Paintings changes how those paintings are batched and drawn, which means you can decorate freely without watching your framerate collapse.
Placing Paintings Efficiently
1. Craft or obtain a Painting item as usual and place it against a solid block face the same way you always would.
2. Keep placing paintings along the wall — the mod handles the rendering side, so you do not need to space them out for performance reasons.
3. If you are covering a large surface, work in rows so you can see the size variants the game picks and swap them by breaking and replacing.
4. Avoid stacking paintings on the same block face where the game refuses placement; move to an adjacent solid block instead.
What to Expect
Large galleries that previously caused stutter should now hold steady. If you still see lag, check for other entity-heavy decorations nearby rather than blaming the paintings. The mod only optimizes rendering, so painting placement rules, sizes, and behavior stay identical to vanilla.
