How to Tell If Fast IP Ping Mod Is Actually Working

After installing a performance mod it is fair to wonder whether it changed anything. Fast IP Ping Mod targets one specific delay, so here is how to check it is active and helping.

Check the mod list first

The simplest test is to open your mod menu and confirm Fast IP Ping Mod appears and is enabled. If it is missing or disabled, nothing else will matter. Enable it and restart the game before testing further.

Compare ping behavior on IP servers

Go to the multiplayer screen and refresh your server list. Servers you added by raw IP should show their ping bars quickly, without the long pause where the list sits blank. If you have a server that uses a domain name, it will behave the same as before, since the mod only skips the lookup for direct IPs. That difference is your clearest sign the mod is working.

Rule out other causes

If pings are still slow, remember that the mod removes a name-resolution step, not network latency. A far-away server, a busy connection, or a server under load will still show high ping. To isolate the mod's effect, add a server on your own network by local IP and refresh; if that responds instantly while remote servers lag, the mod is doing its job and the remaining delay is just distance or load.
