How to Make Server Pings Load Instantly on the Multiplayer Screen
If your server list takes forever to show ping bars, the delay usually comes from Minecraft trying to reverse-look-up a domain name for every server that uses a raw IP address. Fast IP Ping Mod removes that step, but you still need to set things up so the mod can do its job.
Confirm the mod is active
Open your mod menu and check that Fast IP Ping Mod is listed and enabled. Because it is client-side only, you do not need it on the server. If it is disabled, enable it and restart the game so the multiplayer screen reloads with the faster ping path.
Use direct IP entries
On the multiplayer screen, edit each server so the address is the raw IP and port (for example, the numeric address your server gave you) rather than a domain name. The mod only skips the slow lookup for direct IP addresses, so servers already using a domain name will not benefit. Once your list is filled with IP-based entries, refresh the list and the ping bars should populate almost immediately instead of hanging on a blank or spinning state.
When it still feels slow
A slow ping can also come from a distant server or a weak connection. Test by adding a server on your own network using its local IP; if that pings instantly while a remote server does not, the remaining delay is network latency, not the lookup the mod fixes.
