How to Fix Servers That Won't Ping or Show as Unreachable

Sometimes a server shows no ping at all, and it is tempting to blame the mod. Fast IP Ping Mod only removes the reverse DNS lookup for direct IP addresses, so a server that is genuinely unreachable will still fail. Here is how to sort out which problem you have.

Make sure the address is a direct IP

The mod helps when you enter a raw IP and port. If you typed a domain name, the mod does nothing for that entry. Edit the server and replace the hostname with the numeric IP your server uses, then save and refresh. Many unreachable-looking entries are simply wrong addresses or stale ports.

Confirm the server is actually up

If the address is correct and it still will not ping, the server may be offline, the port may be closed, or a firewall may be blocking you. Try the same address from another device or ask the server owner whether it is running. The mod cannot connect you to a server that is down.

Check the mod is enabled

Open the mod menu and verify Fast IP Ping Mod is on. If it was disabled, enable it and restart. Once the server is confirmed online and the entry uses a direct IP, the ping should appear quickly and joining should skip the delay the mod was designed to remove.
