Using Fast Better Grass With OptiFine or Sodium Without Double Effects

Avoid Running Two Better Grass Systems

OptiFine has its own Better Grass setting, and this pack recreates the fast mode of that feature using block models. If you run both at once, you can end up with conflicting or doubled-up results, and it becomes hard to tell which one is responsible for what you see.

Recommended Setup

1. If you use OptiFine, open its video settings and set Better Grass to OFF, then let this resource pack handle the look.

2. If you use Sodium or another renderer without a Better Grass option, no extra setting is needed — just keep the pack enabled.

3. Keep the pack above other packs that edit the same block models, as always.

4. Test by placing grass, podzol, and a dirt path on a slope, then checking the sides and the block beneath the path.

Why This Matters

Because the pack is model-based rather than a rendering feature, it works independently of your performance mods. That means you can keep your usual optimization setup and still get the seamless sides — you just should not stack it on top of an already-active Better Grass option, or the two will fight over the same faces.
