Making Dirt Paths Look Seamless on Village Roads and Slopes

The Path Spreading Feature

Dirt paths in this pack have a special behavior: the path texture "spreads" to the block directly below it. This is meant to imitate how OptiFine's fast Better Grass handles paths, and it makes village roads and terraced paths look continuous instead of showing a hard edge where the path block meets the block beneath it.

Getting the Effect to Show

1. Build a path on flat ground first to confirm the pack is loaded — the top of the path should read as a clean path surface.

2. Now place a path block on top of another solid block, such as on a hillside or a one-block step. Look at the side of the lower block where it meets the path above.

3. With the pack active, that lower block's side should pick up the path appearance, hiding the seam.

4. For village-style roads, stack or step your path blocks so each one sits on a solid block, then walk the road at eye level to check for visible breaks.

Tips for Builders

Because the effect depends on the block below, floating paths or paths placed over air will not show the spread. Keep a solid block under every path block where you want the seamless look, and avoid mixing in other packs that override dirt path models.
