Fixing Fast Better Grass Not Showing Up or Being Overridden by Another Pack

Why Nothing Changed

Since this pack only edits vanilla block models, it is very easy for another resource pack to override it. If you have a pack that also touches grass block, podzol, mycelium, nylium, or dirt path models, whichever pack is higher in the list wins.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

1. Open your resource pack selection screen and confirm Fast Better Grass is enabled, not just downloaded.

2. Drag it to the top of the active pack list, above any terrain, foliage, or "better grass" style packs.

3. Reload resources with the in-game reload key or by toggling the pack off and on.

4. Test in a fresh spot — chunks you are already standing in may need a moment or a small movement to refresh their models.

5. If it still fails, temporarily disable all other packs except this one to isolate the conflict, then re-enable them one at a time.

Things That Are Not Bugs

The underside of blocks stays vanilla, and blocks placed over air will not show path spreading. These are expected behaviors of the model-only approach, not loading failures. If sides match tops on the listed blocks, the pack is working correctly.
