Harvest Melons and Pumpkins from Stem Farms

Understand Stem Farms

Melons and pumpkins grow from stems that spread across soil. The fruit appears on blocks adjacent to the stems. The plugin recognizes this pattern and harvests only the ripe fruit, leaving stems intact to produce more.

Harvest Ripe Fruit

1. Look at a row of melon or pumpkin stems with ripe fruit nearby

2. Break one mature fruit block

3. The plugin detects the stem pattern and harvests all ripe fruit in that area

4. Stems and immature fruit stay in place

Control Harvesting Per Crop

Use /farmassistant harvest melon or /farmassistant harvest pumpkin to toggle harvesting for each type separately. This lets you harvest melons while leaving pumpkins to grow longer.

Manage Stem Layout

Plant stems in organized rows with space between them so fruit can spread. The plugin works best when stems follow a clear pattern. Irregular layouts still work but may require harvesting in smaller sections.
