Troubleshoot Flat or Missing Leaf Models

Why Leaves Might Still Look Vanilla

If tree foliage appears flat or textures aren't loading at all, several factors could prevent Fantastik Leaves from applying correctly.

Check Your Graphics Settings

1. Verify Graphics Mode is set to Fancy, not Fast

• Fast mode disables custom model rendering

2. Confirm Smooth Lighting is enabled

3. Increase Render Distance if leaves disappear before you reach them

Verify Pack Installation

• Open your resource packs folder and confirm Fantastik Leaves is present
• In the launcher, ensure it appears in the Active list
• If using multiple packs, move Fantastik Leaves to the *top* of the load order
• Remove and re-add the pack if it won't activate

Force a Reload

1. Close Minecraft completely

2. Delete the resourcepacks cache folder (if it exists)

3. Relaunch Minecraft and load a world

Compatibility Check

If another resource pack also modifies leaves, it may override Fantastik Leaves. Disable conflicting packs or adjust load order. Most standard packs won't interfere.
