Fantastik Leaves Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to restart my world to see the new leaf models?
Yes, you'll need to restart your world or reload chunks after applying the resource pack. The leaf blocks won't update to their 3D models in already-loaded terrain until you reload them.
Will this pack work with my other texture packs?
Yes, since Fantastik Leaves only modifies leaf blocks, you can layer it with other packs without conflicts. Load Fantastik Leaves higher in your pack list so its leaf textures take priority.
Why do my leaves still look flat?
Make sure you have 3D biomes or custom model data enabled in your resource pack settings, and verify the pack is actually loaded in your world. If leaves still appear flat, try moving the pack higher in your load order.
Which tree types get the 3D leaf treatment?
The pack enhances oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, and dark oak leaves with 3D models and detailed textures. Azalea and mangrove leaves are also included in the enhanced foliage.
Does this affect performance or FPS?
The 3D models and high-resolution textures may impact performance on lower-end systems, especially in dense forests. You can test by enabling the pack in a small area first to see how your device handles it.
Can I use this on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use Fantastik Leaves on any server without needing server permission. Other players won't see your enhanced leaves unless they also install the pack.
Do the 3D leaves block light or change how mobs spawn?
No, the 3D models are purely visual—they don't affect light levels, mob spawning, or any game mechanics. The leaves function identically to vanilla leaves underneath the new appearance.
What resolution should my monitor be to see the details?
The 512x textures will show detail at any resolution, but you'll notice the crisp quality more on larger screens or when zoomed in. Even on smaller displays, the textures are sharper than vanilla 16x leaves.
Why do some leaves look different colors than others?
Biome-specific leaf colors (like blue spruce in cold biomes or yellow-green in warm areas) are preserved in the pack. The 3D models and high-res textures just make these natural color variations more visible.
Can I use this pack with shaders?
Yes, Fantastik Leaves works with most shader packs since it only changes textures and models. The shaders will render the 3D leaves with their lighting effects, often making them look even more realistic.
