Why Animations Work Everywhere

Fancy Door Animations is a client-side mod, meaning it only changes what you see on your screen. The server doesn't need to have the mod installed for you to enjoy animated doors.

Joining Any Server

1. Install the mod in your client

2. Join any vanilla or modded server as normal

3. When you or other players open doors, you'll see the smooth animations

4. Other players without the mod will see instant door snaps—both versions work together

Multiplayer Compatibility

The mod doesn't send extra data to the server or modify how doors function mechanically. Redstone doors, mob-triggered doors, and player-opened doors all animate smoothly for you without affecting gameplay for others.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If doors don't animate on a server, verify the mod is properly installed in your client. Server-side mods or plugins won't interfere with client-side rendering, so animations should always display correctly.
