Defend Your Faction and Recover from Power Loss
Understanding Power Loss in Combat
When a faction member dies to another player, your faction loses power temporarily. This penalty is the core mechanic preventing dominant factions from claiming infinite territory. Track your power regularly with /f power to monitor your faction's health.
Protecting Your Claims
If your faction power drops below the threshold required by your claims, those chunks become vulnerable:
- Enemy factions can claim your territory
- Your members lose building protection in those chunks
- Prioritize power regeneration by keeping members active and alive
Recovery Strategy
To rebuild after losses:
- Avoid unnecessary deaths to enemy players
- Recruit new members to increase your power cap
- Focus on power regeneration by maintaining an active playerbase
- Temporarily unclaim less valuable territory to reduce power requirements
- Organize defensive operations to prevent further raids
- Use
/f info [faction]to scout enemy power levels before engaging in conflict
Balance expansion with defense—claiming too much territory while weak invites conquest.
