How do I create a faction?
Use the `/faction create [name]` command to establish your faction. You'll become the leader automatically, and other players can then join using `/faction join [name]` or by invitation.
What is power and how does it work?
Power is your faction's currency for claiming land. Your faction generates power based on the number of active members, and each claimed chunk consumes power to remain yours. If your power drops below what your claims require, those chunks become vulnerable to being claimed by enemies.
Why did I lose power after dying?
Dying to other players temporarily reduces your faction's power as a penalty. This is intentional—it creates risk when venturing into enemy territory and prevents factions from becoming too dominant without consequence.
How do I claim land for my faction?
Stand in the chunk you want to claim and use `/faction claim`. Your faction must have enough available power to support the claim, and you need the appropriate rank permission to execute claims.
Can I set different permissions for faction members?
Yes—use `/faction rank` commands to create and assign ranks with specific permissions. You can control who can claim land, access the vault, invite members, and more based on rank.
What happens if another faction claims my land?
If your faction's power drops below your claim requirements, enemy factions can claim those chunks. You can reclaim them if you restore enough power, but the chunks will be unprotected until you do.
How do I invite players to my faction?
Use `/faction invite [player]` to send an invitation. The player can then accept with `/faction join [faction name]`, or you can use `/faction kick` to remove members who don't meet your standards.
Does this mod affect server performance?
No—the mod is designed for extreme performance and reliability, so it shouldn't cause lag even on servers with many factions and claims.
Can I customize faction colors and descriptions?
Yes. Use `/faction description [text]` to set a faction description and `/faction color [color]` to customize how your faction name appears. You can also set a MOTD (message of the day) that displays when members log in.
What's the difference between faction chat and global chat?
Faction chat (`/f` or `/fc`) is private to your members only, while global chat is visible to all players on the server. Use faction chat to coordinate with your team without enemies hearing your plans.
