Preview Block Rotation Before Placing

Using Holographic Preview

The holographic preview feature lets you see exactly how a functional block (like a furnace, observer, or piston) will face before you commit to placing it. This is especially useful in Survival mode where mistakes cost resources.

Steps

1. Hold a directional block in your hand (furnace, dispenser, dropper, observer, etc.)

2. Look at the block space where you want to place it

3. The mod will display a semi-transparent hologram showing the block's position and facing direction

4. Rotate your view or move around to see the preview update in real-time

5. Adjust your position or angle until the preview shows the correct orientation

6. Place the block when the hologram matches your intended setup

Why This Matters

Functional blocks often need precise facing directions to work in redstone contraptions. The preview eliminates guesswork and prevents wasted materials from placing blocks backwards or sideways. You can test multiple angles without breaking and replacing blocks.
