How to Take a 4K Screenshot with Fabrishot
The Basic Capture
Fabrishot replaces the vanilla screenshot key with its own high-resolution capture. Once the mod is installed, press F9 to take a large screenshot instead of using the default screenshot key. The game will briefly pause or stutter while it renders the frame at your
configured resolution, then save the image.
Where the File Goes
Fabrishot saves its output to the same screenshots folder inside your Minecraft game directory that vanilla uses. Open that folder to find your capture. Because the file is much larger than a normal screenshot, it may take a moment to appear or to open in an image viewer.
Tips for a Clean Shot
- Hide the HUD first if you want a clean image; Fabrishot captures what is on screen, so visible hotbars, chat, and debug text will appear in the file.
- Stand still and let chunks finish loading before pressing F9, otherwise distant terrain may look unloaded.
If Nothing Happens
Check that no other mod or keybind has claimed F9. If the key does nothing, open your controls menu and confirm the Fabrishot capture key is still bound.
