Why Traverse and Terrestria Biomes Stay Green in Every Season
Understanding the Limitation
Fabric Seasons changes colors by swapping colormaps that biomes reference. Traverse and Terrestria define their own grass, foliage, and water colors, so without this compat mod they ignore the season entirely and stay at their hardcoded tint year-round. This is expected behavior, not a bug in Fabric Seasons.
Diagnosing Your Setup
1. Stand in a vanilla plains or forest biome and confirm the grass changes with the season. If it does not, the problem is Fabric Seasons, not this compat mod.
2. Move into a Traverse or Terrestria biome. If vanilla changed but this one did not, the compat mod is missing, disabled, or failing to load.
3. Check for mod conflicts: another mod that overrides biome colors or colormaps can win over this compat layer, leaving modded biomes static.
4. Verify the biome actually belongs to Traverse or Terrestria. Biomes from other mods are not covered by this compat mod and will keep their own colors.
Expected Result
Once working, Traverse and Terrestria biomes should transition through the same seasonal palette as vanilla, so a Terrestria redwood forest or a Traverse autumn woodland visibly changes across spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
