Fabric Seasons Terraformers Compat Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to install anything besides this mod for seasonal colors to work?
Yes. This mod is only a compatibility layer, so you still need Fabric Seasons, Traverse, and Terrestria installed together. Without all four present, the seasonal colormaps have nothing to attach to and biomes will keep their default colors.
How do I know the compat is actually working?
Load a world and watch a Traverse or Terrestria biome as the season changes. If the foliage and grass shift through spring, summer, autumn, and winter tones instead of staying static, the compat is active.
Do I need to create a new world for this to take effect?
No, existing worlds work fine because the mod only changes color rendering, not world generation. Just make sure the season cycle is running so you can see the transition.
Why are my Traverse and Terrestria biomes still green in every season?
This usually means the compat mod isn't loaded, or another resource pack or mod is overriding biome colors. Check your mod list order and remove any colormap-altering packs to see if colors return.
Does this mod change vanilla biome colors too?
No. It only adds seasonal colormaps for Traverse and Terrestria biomes, leaving vanilla biomes to Fabric Seasons' own handling. If vanilla colors look wrong, the issue is elsewhere.
Can I use this with other biome mods like Biomes O' Plenty or Oh The Biomes You'll Go?
This mod only covers Traverse and Terrestria, so other biome mods won't get seasonal colors from it. You'd need a separate compat mod for those, or they'll stay static.
Will this hurt my performance or FPS?
No meaningful impact. It only swaps color values per biome per season, which is far lighter than world generation or rendering changes.
Do the seasons actually change gameplay in these biomes, like snow or crop growth?
No, this mod is purely visual. Fabric Seasons handles the gameplay effects, and this compat only makes the biome colors match those seasons.
Why do only some Traverse or Terrestria biomes change color?
Not every biome in those mods has a custom colormap defined, so some keep their default look. That's expected behavior, not a bug.
Does this work on a server, and do all players need it?
It works on servers, but each client needs the mod installed to see the seasonal colors. Players without it will just see the normal biome colors.
