How to Install Fabric Loader and Launch a Modded Minecraft Profile
Getting the Loader Ready
Fabric Loader is the foundation that lets Fabric mods run, but it does not add content by itself. Start by confirming you have a clean Minecraft Java Edition installation that has been launched at least once, so the game files exist. Run the Fabric installer and choose the client option, then pick the Minecraft version you want to mod. The installer creates a new profile in your launcher rather than overwriting your vanilla one, so your unmodded game stays intact.
Adding Mods and Launching
Open your launcher and select the Fabric profile that was created. Before launching, locate the mods folder inside your .minecraft directory. If it does not exist, create it. Drop your Fabric-compatible mod .jar files into that folder. Most mods also require Fabric API, so place that jar in the same folder or many mods will fail to load. Launch the Fabric profile. On the title screen, check that the mod count or mod menu reflects what you installed. If the game crashes on startup, remove mods one at a time to find the incompatible one, and make sure every mod matches your chosen Minecraft version.
