How to Check Pregeneration Progress and Status

The Status Command

Run /pregen status to see how many chunks have been pregenerated. This is the primary way to know whether a job is running and how far along it is. Use it periodically rather than watching the world, since the process runs in the background.

Reading the Output

Status reports the amount of chunks completed. Compare that against the total your radius implies — a square region with a given radius covers a predictable number of chunks, so you can estimate remaining time. Larger radii scale the total chunk count up quickly, which is why big jobs take noticeably longer.

If You Are Unsure What to Do

Run /pregen help to display the mod's help message listing the available commands. This is useful if you forget the exact syntax for starting or stopping.

Combining Status With Other Commands

Status is most useful right after /pregen start to confirm the job began, and right after /pregen stop to confirm it ended. If status shows no active progress but you expected some, the job may have finished or never started — check your radius value and try again. Keeping an eye on status helps you decide when it is safe to log off or restart the server.
