How to Reduce Blood Particle Lag on Low-End PCs
Blood particles are cheap individually, but in a big fight with many mobs the effect can add up and cost frames. If Extra Gore is hurting your performance, you have a few practical options before you resort to removing the mod.
Lower the Particle Amount
Check the mod's config for any option controlling particle count, density, or a multiplier. Reducing this value directly cuts how many particles spawn per hit, which is the single most effective fix. If no such option exists in your version, you can instead reduce Minecraft's own particle settings in Video Settings to "Decreased" or "Minimal".
Reduce What Bleeds
Another approach is to disable the effect for mobs you fight in large numbers. In the config, remove entries for common hostile mobs so only rare or important creatures bleed. This keeps the flavor where it matters and removes the cost during grinder or farm situations.
Other Tips
Avoid fighting large mob crowds in enclosed spaces where particles cannot despawn quickly. If you use other particle-heavy mods, disabling Extra Gore's effect for common mobs is usually enough to recover smooth framerates without losing the feature entirely.
