Explosive Party Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I change the color of my explosions?
Open the mod's configuration file and locate the explosion particle color settings. Each section of the explosion animation can be assigned its own color value—edit these hex codes or RGB values to customize your explosions, then save and reload your world.
What's the difference between this mod and Explosive Enhancement?
Explosive Party Mod controls the colors of explosion particles, while Explosive Enhancement Mod improves the overall animation quality and physics. They work together—Enhancement makes explosions look smoother, and Party makes them colorful.
Can I have different explosion colors for different blocks?
The mod applies your configured colors to all explosions in your world, including TNT, creepers, and other explosive sources. You cannot currently assign different colors to specific block types through the standard configuration.
My explosion colors aren't showing up. What do I do?
First, verify your configuration file was saved correctly and uses valid color values. If colors still don't appear, check that particle effects are enabled in your video settings and that no conflicting mods are overriding particle rendering.
Does this mod work with other particle-changing mods?
Explosive Party Mod may conflict with mods that heavily modify particle systems. Test compatibility by enabling one mod at a time, and refer to the mod's documentation if you encounter rendering issues with multiple particle mods active.
How do I create a color scheme that matches my world theme?
Plan your color palette first, then convert your chosen colors to hex or RGB format and input them into the configuration file's explosion sections. Test in-game and adjust values until the explosions match your desired aesthetic.
Can I make explosions rainbow or multi-colored?
Yes—since different sections of the explosion animation can have different colors, you can assign a variety of colors to create a rainbow or gradient effect across the explosion.
Will this mod affect my game performance?
Explosive Party Mod only changes particle colors and has minimal performance impact. If you experience lag during explosions, the issue likely stems from Explosive Enhancement or other mods rather than this mod alone.
Do I need to restart my world to apply color changes?
Yes, you'll need to reload your world or restart the game for configuration changes to take effect. Some changes may apply on the next explosion if you reload chunks, but a full restart is most reliable.
What happens if I use invalid color values in the config?
Invalid color values will typically cause the mod to fall back to default white explosion particles or fail to load that section. Check your config file for typos and ensure all color values follow the correct format.
