Switching Between Different Structures

The Explorer's Compass Addon lets you search for different structure types without crafting multiple compasses. You can switch targets on the fly to explore various locations in one journey.

Steps to Change Your Search Target

1. Hold your Explorer's Compass

2. Right-click to bring up the structure selection menu

3. Select a new structure type from the list

4. The compass will immediately recalibrate and point toward the next nearest building of that type

5. Check the on-screen display for updated coordinates and distance

6. Travel to this new location

7. Repeat steps 1-6 to search for another structure type

Planning Efficient Routes

Use this feature to chain multiple exploration goals together. For example, search for a Village first, then switch to finding an Ocean Monument nearby, then locate a Stronghold. This approach lets you map out your world efficiently and discover multiple biomes and structures in a single expedition without needing to manage multiple compass items in your inventory.
