How the Mod Prevents Duplicate Results

The Explorer's Compass Addon automatically skips the structure you're currently standing inside. This means when you use a compass to search for a specific structure type, it will always point you toward the *next* closest building instead of leading you back to your current location.

Using the Compass Effectively

1. Craft or obtain an Explorer's Compass

2. Hold the compass in your hand

3. Right-click to open the structure selection menu

4. Choose the structure type you want to find (Ancient City, Village, Stronghold, etc.)

5. The compass will ignore any building of that type you're currently inside and point toward the nearest alternative

6. Follow the on-screen distance and coordinates display

7. Travel in the direction the compass points

Why This Matters

Without this addon, the original compass would repeatedly point to the same structure if you were standing inside it. This made exploration tedious and forced you to leave and re-enter to search for new locations. The addon solves this by filtering out your current position from search results, ensuring you always discover new places.
