The Book of Experience is perfect for transporting your levels across long distances or between different worlds:

1. Store your experience in the book using right-click (see storage guide)

2. Put the book in your inventory or drop it as an item

3. Travel to your destination — even if you die, the book remains with your items or on the ground

4. Retrieve your XP using Shift + right-click when you arrive

Strategic Uses

Use this method when traveling to dangerous biomes, exploring far from your base, or moving between the Overworld and other dimensions. The book protects your XP from being lost to death, lava, or other hazards.

You can also store the book in a chest or shulker box for long-term safekeeping. Since it's a physical item, it won't disappear as long as you keep it safe. This makes it ideal for preserving experience you've accumulated over long play sessions.
