How to Get the Most FPS Out of Exordium Alongside Other Performance Mods
Exordium is one of many Fabric performance mods, and it stacks well with others because it targets a specific bottleneck: GUI rendering. To actually see gains, you need to combine it with the right setup and confirm it is doing its job.
Pair It With Complementary Mods
Exordium frees CPU and GPU time by not redrawing the interface every frame. That headroom only helps if the rest of your pipeline is not the bottleneck. Common companions are mods that optimize entity rendering, chunk rendering, and memory usage. Install them alongside Exordium rather than instead of it — they address different parts of the frame.
Verify the Gain
1. Load a world and press F3 to see your framerate.
2. Open a GUI (inventory or a chest) and watch the framerate while it is open — this is where Exordium's effect is most visible.
3. Compare against a run with Exordium disabled to confirm it is contributing.
4. If you see no difference, your bottleneck is elsewhere; look at render distance, entity counts, or shaders.
Tuning Order
Set your GUI framerate cap first, then adjust other performance mods. Changing everything at once makes it impossible to tell what helped. Keep notes on which settings gave the biggest jump so you can reproduce a good configuration later.
