Farm Rare Items from Common Blocks

Set Up a Dedicated Farm Area

Choose a flat location away from your base and mark out a large grid of easily breakable blocks—dirt, grass, sand, or gravel work best. The larger your farm, the more drops you'll collect per session.

Break Blocks Systematically

Work through your farm in rows, breaking each block and collecting drops as you go. Since every block drop is randomized, you're essentially running a lottery with each swing of your pickaxe. Rare items like enchanted gear, netherite, or valuable materials can drop from these basic blocks.

Optimize Your Harvest

Bring a large inventory or multiple trips to maximize collection. Use a Fortune enchantment on your tool if possible—while drops are randomized, having better tools speeds up your farming rate. Consider building your farm near your base for quick access.

Sort and Store Drops

Set up organized chests near your farm to sort valuable drops from common junk. Over time, you'll accumulate rare items that would normally require dangerous mining or crafting. This method turns basic block-breaking into your primary loot source.
