Create a Welcome Sign That Faces a Specific Direction

Set Up Your Fixed Hologram

Unlike player-facing holograms that always rotate to look at you, fixed holograms stay locked to one angle—perfect for wall-mounted signs or directional displays.

Step 1: Stand at the location where you want your sign to appear, and face the direction you want it to look.

Step 2: Use /eh create fixed <id> <text> to spawn a hologram that locks to your current viewing angle. Replace <id> with a unique name (like welcome_gate) and <text> with your message.

Step 3: If you need to adjust the angle later, use /eh setrotation <id> <yaw> [pitch] to fine-tune the rotation. Yaw controls left-right turning, and pitch controls up-down tilting.

Add Lighting for Visibility

Fixed signs in dark areas become hard to read. Add a backlight column behind the text:

  • Type /eh backlight <id> to spawn glowing light blocks that illuminate your sign without placing physical blocks in the world.
  • The light stays invisible to players but keeps your text readable at night or underground.
