Prevent Your Pet from Respawning

Disable Respawning for Specific Pets

If you want a pet to stay dead and not respawn, you'll need to adjust the mod's configuration file. The mod respawns wolves, cats, and parrots by default, but this behavior can be controlled through config settings.

Steps

1. Locate your mod's configuration folder (usually in .minecraft/config/)

2. Find the Eternal Pets Mod config file

3. Look for settings that control which pet types respawn—you can disable respawning for specific animals (wolves, cats, or parrots)

4. Save the config and restart your game

Alternative: Remove the Pet Before Death

If you want to keep the mod active but prevent one specific pet from respawning, remove it from your world before it dies. Once a pet is gone, it won't respawn since the mod only affects pets that die in-game.

Note that disabling the mod entirely will prevent all pet respawning. Adjust only the pet types you want affected through the configuration options.
