EssentialAddons Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using EssentialAddons?
Install the mod alongside Carpet, then use /carpet command in-game to access EssentialAddons features. Check /carpet help to see all available commands for your setup.
How do I set my home and teleport back to it?
Use /sethome to mark your current location as home, then use /home to teleport back to it anytime. You can set multiple homes with /sethome [name] and return to them with /home [name].
Can I teleport to other players?
Yes, use /tpa [player] to request teleportation to another player, or /tpahere [player] to request they teleport to you. The other player must accept with /tpaccept or deny with /tpdeny.
How do I manage someone else's inventory remotely?
Use /invsee [player] to view and modify another player's inventory, and /enderchest [player] to access their enderchest. Permissions determine who can use these commands on whom.
What's the difference between /tpa and /tp?
/tpa is a safe request-based teleport that requires the other player to accept, while /tp is an instant teleport that typically requires higher permissions. Use /tpa for multiplayer courtesy.
Can I create permanent warp points on my server?
Yes, use /setwarp [name] to create a warp at your current location, then any player can use /warp [name] to teleport there. Warps persist across server restarts.
Does EssentialAddons work with other mods?
EssentialAddons is built as a Carpet extension, so it requires Carpet to function. It generally works alongside other mods, but conflicts are rare since it primarily adds commands rather than blocks or items.
Why can't I use a command I saw in a guide?
Some commands require specific permissions set by the server admin or singleplayer operator status. Check /carpet help to see which commands are enabled and what permissions you have.
How do I remove a home or warp I don't need anymore?
Use /delhome [name] to remove a personal home and /delwarp [name] to remove a warp. These commands only work on homes and warps you created.
Can I see how many homes or warps I have?
Use /homes to list all your personal homes and /warps to list all available warps on the server. These commands show you what teleport points are currently set up.
