Do I need to start a new world to see the castles?
Yes, you need to create a new world with the data pack loaded to generate the new castle structures. Existing worlds won't have the castles unless you travel to chunks that haven't been generated yet.
Will the castles replace witch huts in all biomes or just swamps?
The castles only replace witch huts in swamp biomes where they naturally spawn. You won't see them in other biomes.
Can I use this data pack with world generation mods like Terralith?
Yes, this data pack is compatible with Terralith, Biomes O' Plenty, Oh the Biomes We've Gone, Regions Unexplored, Tectonic, Geophilic, and William Wythers' overhauls. Load both together and they'll work smoothly.
Are there witches still inside the castles?
The castles spawn in the same locations as vanilla witch huts, so witches will still be present inside or around the structures.
Do the castles use custom blocks or only vanilla blocks?
The castles use only vanilla Minecraft blocks, so there are no missing block errors and they work in any world without extra mods.
How do I load the data pack into my world?
When creating a new world, go to the world setup screen and add the data pack before generating the world. Make sure it's enabled before you click Create.
Can I use this data pack on an existing world?
You can add it to an existing world, but castles will only generate in swamp chunks you haven't explored yet. Previously generated swamps won't have castles.
Will this data pack cause lag or performance issues?
Since the castles use only vanilla blocks and spawn in the same locations as small huts, performance impact should be minimal. If you experience lag, it's more likely from other mods or world generation tools.
Can I use the castle as a base or do I have to clear it?
You can either explore and loot the castle as-is, or clear it out completely to build your own swamp base inside or around the structure.
Do the castles have interiors to explore or are they solid structures?
The castles have interiors you can explore and loot, making them more than just decorative structures to find in your swamp.
