Epic Fight FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using Epic Fight Mod?
Epic Fight is a library mod that works in the background—you won't see it in your inventory. Install it alongside combat add-ons (like Epic Fight: Dungeons or weapon packs) that actually add weapons, skills, and mobs. The add-ons are what give you things to do; Epic Fight just powers them.
What's the difference between a skill and a weapon moveset?
A moveset is the sequence of attacks your weapon performs when you click or hold—it's tied to the specific weapon you're holding. Skills are special abilities you equip from skill books that work independently, like a dodge or heavy attack, and they consume stamina.
How do I get skill books?
Skill books are added by combat add-ons, not by Epic Fight itself. Check what add-ons you have installed—they typically drop from mobs, appear in loot chests, or can be crafted depending on the add-on.
Why can't I block or dodge?
Blocking and dodging require you to have those skills equipped from skill books, and they need stamina to use. If you don't see a block or dodge option, you either haven't found the skill books yet or your add-on doesn't include them.
Do I need to install Epic Fight api separately or does it come with add-ons?
Epic Fight: Epic-API is a separate mod file you install first, then install combat add-ons on top of it. The add-ons depend on it to work, so both are required.
Is Epic Fight compatible with other combat mods?
Epic Fight is designed to work with its own ecosystem of add-ons. Using it alongside other combat overhaul mods (like Minecraft Combat Evolved or similar) can cause conflicts—check the add-on documentation for compatibility notes.
Why is my game lagging with Epic Fight?
Epic Fight adds custom animations and 3D meshes which increase rendering load. If you're experiencing lag, try reducing your render distance, disabling fancy graphics, or checking if you have too many add-ons installed at once.
Can I use Epic Fight on Minecraft Bedrock or pocket edition?
Epic Fight is a Java Edition mod only. Bedrock and Pocket Edition don't support the mod loader that Epic Fight requires, though some Bedrock add-ons may attempt to recreate similar combat mechanics.
How do I remove a skill I don't want?
Open your skill menu (the exact key depends on your add-on, usually a dedicated hotkey) and deselect or unequip the skill you want to remove. You'll keep the skill book and can re-equip it later.
What do I do if a weapon or mob isn't showing up correctly?
This usually means the add-on's mesh or armature didn't load properly. Try restarting the game, checking that Epic Fight: Epic-API is installed and up to date, and verifying that your add-on version is compatible with your Epic Fight version.
