Epic Core API Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using Epic Core API Mod?
The mod works immediately after installation—no setup required. Start by opening the in-game command interface and try `/eca setHealth @s 20` to test basic health control, or use `/eca bossShow edit` to enter the cutscene editor and explore the BossShow tool.
Can I make a boss that takes more damage than normal?
Yes. Use `/eca setMaxHealth ` to set a health pool beyond vanilla limits, then `/eca setHealth ` to fill it. The mod removes attribute caps, so you can create bosses with extreme durability.
Why isn't my entity taking damage?
Check if invulnerability is enabled with `/eca setInvulnerable `—toggle it off if needed. Also verify the entity isn't affected by `/eca banHealing`, which blocks all damage and healing simultaneously.
How do I prevent a boss from moving or escaping?
Use `/eca lockLocation ` to freeze an entity at exact coordinates. Combine this with `/eca setInvulnerable ` for a fully immobilized arena boss.
What's the difference between lockHealth and banHealing?
`/eca lockHealth` freezes health at a specific value so it can't change up or down. `/eca banHealing` prevents all healing and regeneration but allows normal damage to reduce health.
Can I apply screen effects to multiple players at once?
Yes. Use `/eca setFilter @a true ` to apply a filter like matrix, snow, or cosmos to all players, or target specific players with their username or selector.
How do I create a cinematic intro for a boss fight?
Run `/eca bossShow edit` to enter the cutscene editor in spectator mode, where you can build and save custom scenes. Play them back with `/eca bossShow play ` when the fight starts.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is designed for performance and doesn't break game stability. However, force-loading chunks with `/eca setForceLoading` or running many cutscenes simultaneously may impact servers—use sparingly on multiplayer.
Can I stop a specific mob type from spawning?
Use `/eca banSpawn ` to temporarily ban that mob type from spawning in your dimension. Clear all bans with `/eca banSpawn clear`.
Will this mod work with other mods that add custom mobs?
Yes. Epic Core API Mod works on any entity type, including custom mobs from other mods. The attribute system is universal, so you can control health and invulnerability on any creature.
