Syncing Armor Visibility Settings on a Multiplayer Server
How Syncing Works
When Show Me Your Skin! is present on both the client and the server, visibility settings can be synchronized so everyone sees a consistent result. Without server-side support, each player only controls what they themselves see, and your hidden armor may still appear normally to others. If you're running or playing on a server, the server side is what makes your cosmetic choices visible to the whole group.
Configuring Per-Player Settings
Each player keeps their own configuration, so you don't have to worry about someone else's choices overriding yours. Open your settings panel while connected and adjust your armor slots as usual — the server relays those choices to other clients. If you're an operator, look for the server-side configuration options that let you enforce restrictions, such as forcing certain armor to always render or limiting how much can be hidden.
Troubleshooting Mismatches
If other players still see your armor, confirm the mod is installed on the server and not just your client, and that syncing is enabled in the config. A common cause of confusion is one player hiding armor locally while the server has no mod, which means only that player sees the change. Restarting the server after editing config files ensures the new rules take effect for everyone.
