Combine Enchanted Books to Reach Higher Tiers

Preparing Your Books

Gather two enchanted books with the same enchantment at the same level. For example, two Protection IV books or two Sharpness III books. The enchantment type and current level must match exactly for the combination to work.

Using the Anvil

1. Place an anvil on the ground and open its menu

2. Put the first enchanted book in the left slot

3. Put the second matching enchanted book in the middle slot

4. Check the experience cost displayed in the output area

5. If you have enough levels, the combined book appears in the output slot with the enchantment upgraded by one tier (Protection IV becomes Protection V, for example)

6. Take the result from the output slot

Understanding Costs

The experience required increases based on the enchantment's new level. Higher tiers cost significantly more. If the anvil shows "Too Expensive," the server may have set a maximum cost limit, but the plugin will notify you of the true cost needed. Check with your server administrator if you cannot complete the combination.
