How do I combine two enchanted books to get a higher tier?
Place both enchanted books with the same enchantment into the left slots of an anvil, then take the result from the output slot. The combined book will have a level one tier higher than the originals, and you'll pay an experience cost based on the multiplier setting.
Can I combine an enchanted book with a tool or weapon?
Yes, if the book-on-item combination is enabled on your server. Place the enchanted book in one left slot and the tool or armor piece in the other, and the enchantment will transfer and upgrade on the item.
What happens to custom lore and item names when I combine items?
The plugin preserves all custom lore, item names, armor trims, and custom attributes during every anvil combination, so your personalized items stay intact.
Why does the anvil say 'Too Expensive' but I can still take the item?
The anvil's client-side limit doesn't apply to this plugin. The true level cost is shown in a message alert, and you can complete the combination if your server's max_repair_cost setting allows it.
How is the experience cost calculated when combining enchantments?
The cost is based on the enchantment level and a multiplier value set in the config. Higher tiers cost more levels, and the repair_cost_cap setting determines the maximum amount you actually pay.
Can the server owner disable certain enchantments or set a level cap?
Yes, server owners can use the /enhancedenchants commands to set maximum level limits, cap repair costs, and toggle which combination types are allowed (book-on-book, book-on-item, or item-on-item).
What modern enchantments does this plugin support?
The plugin supports newer enchantments including Breach, Density, Wind Burst, and Swift Sneak, along with all vanilla enchantments.
Do I need two items at the exact same enchantment level to combine them?
Yes, both items or books must have identical enchantment levels in the slots for the combination to work.
If my server has the plugin installed, will it slow down performance?
The plugin is designed to handle anvil combinations efficiently. If you experience issues, check the log_errors setting in the config to identify any problems.
Can I combine two tools with the same enchantment to upgrade it?
Yes, if item-on-item combinations are enabled on your server. Place both tools in the left anvil slots and the enchantment will upgrade, preserving all item data from the result.
