Enhanced Enchanting & Enchantments Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get started with this mod?
Start by enchanting your tools and armor at an enchanting table just like normal Minecraft—the mod adds new enchantments to the available pool. You can see what each enchantment does in-game if you have Enchantment Descriptions installed, which helps you pick powers that match your playstyle.
Can I put multiple legendary enchantments on one item?
By default, yes, but you can enable the DoLimitLegendaryEnchantsToOne configuration option to prevent stacking two legendary powers on the same item for a harder challenge.
What's the difference between armor enchantments and weapon enchantments?
Armor enchantments give you defensive or utility abilities—helmets warn of mobs or let you climb ceilings, boots improve mobility and jumping, and chestplates freeze enemies or absorb damage. Weapon and tool enchantments are offensive—swords heal you, pickaxes mine faster in larger areas, and axes chop whole trees.
Do enchanted items automatically return to me if I drop them?
Yes, the mod includes an auto-pickup feature where dropped items teleport back to your inventory, and items picked up by other players also return to you automatically.
Can my tools repair themselves?
Yes, enchanted tools automatically repair while you sleep in a bed, so you don't need to constantly visit an anvil or crafting table.
Which version of the mod has the most enchantments?
The NeoForge version has the most updates and the full set of over 116 enchantments available.
How do bow enchantments work differently from melee weapons?
Bow enchantments focus on arrow behavior—you can make arrows explode, travel faster in water, bounce between targets, or pull mobs together when they land, giving you crowd control and ranged damage options.
What happens if I enchant my armor like a Totem of Undying?
Some armor enchantments act as a Totem of Undying, saving you from death by negating lethal damage and keeping you alive in dangerous situations.
Does this mod work with other enchantment mods?
The mod is designed to work alongside Enchantment Descriptions for better in-game tooltips; compatibility with other enchantment mods depends on how they modify the enchanting system, so test in your specific setup.
Will this mod slow down my game?
With 116 enchantments added, performance impact is minimal on most systems, but having many enchanted items with active effects (like fire trails or particle effects) may cause lag on lower-end hardware—test it in your world to see how it runs.
