How to Make Boss Bars Look Better in Minecraft (Enhanced Boss Bars Setup)
What This Pack Actually Changes
Enhanced Boss Bars is a resource pack, not a mod. That means it does not add new bosses, commands, or config screens. It only swaps the textures and layout used by the vanilla boss bar overlay, so the bar you see during a Wither, Ender Dragon, or raid fight gets a cleaner, more detailed look. Because it is texture-only, it works in any world where the vanilla boss bar appears.
Applying It Correctly
1. Place the pack file in your resource packs folder.
2. Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Enhanced Boss Bars to the right side so it sits above the default pack.
3. If you use other packs that also touch boss bar textures, keep Enhanced Boss Bars higher in the list so its files win.
4. Join a world and trigger a boss bar (summon a Wither in Creative, or start a raid) to confirm the new look appears.
Getting the Best Result
- Use a GUI scale that keeps the bar readable; very small scales can make detailed textures look muddy.
- Pair it with a matching HUD pack only if that pack does not overwrite the same boss bar files.
- If the bar looks unchanged, another pack is overriding it. Drag Enhanced Boss Bars above that pack and reload.
