Enhanced Boss Bars Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I actually turn on the Enhanced Boss Bars pack after downloading it?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Enhanced Boss Bars from the left column to the right column so it's active. Click Done and the new bars apply the next time a boss bar appears.
Why are my boss bars still the default ones?
Another resource pack is probably overriding the boss bar textures because it sits above Enhanced Boss Bars in the load order. Drag Enhanced Boss Bars to the top of the selected packs list and reload.
Does Enhanced Boss Bars work on a server or with friends?
Yes, but it's a client-side resource pack, so each player has to install and enable it themselves to see the new bars. The server doesn't need it, and players without it just see the vanilla bars.
Can I use Enhanced Boss Bars together with other HUD or UI packs?
Yes, as long as the other packs don't also replace the boss bar textures. If they do, put Enhanced Boss Bars above them in the load order so its bars win.
Which boss bars does this pack change?
It retextures the boss bars Minecraft uses for major fights, like the Ender Dragon and the Wither, plus any mob or mod that uses the standard boss bar. Custom bars drawn by other mods may not be affected.
Do I need OptiFine, Fabric, or Forge for this to work?
No, it's a resource pack, so it works on vanilla Minecraft and on modded setups alike. Just enable it in the Resource Packs menu like any other pack.
Will Enhanced Boss Bars hurt my FPS or performance?
It only swaps textures, so the performance impact is negligible on almost any system. If you notice lag, it's far more likely coming from shaders or other mods than from this pack.
My boss bar looks stretched or blurry — how do I fix it?
That usually means another pack is partially overriding the textures, or your GUI scale is set unusually. Try moving Enhanced Boss Bars to the top of the load order and adjusting GUI Scale in Video Settings.
Does the pack change anything besides the boss bar itself?
It focuses on the boss bar textures, so it won't touch your hotbar, inventory, or other HUD elements. That's why it combines cleanly with most other packs.
How do I turn the pack off if I don't like it?
Go back to Options, then Resource Packs, and move Enhanced Boss Bars from the right column back to the left. The default bars return immediately without needing to restart.
