Fixing Enhanced Boss Bars Not Showing Up (Resource Pack Load Order)

Why the Bar Looks Unchanged

If your boss bar still looks vanilla after installing Enhanced Boss Bars, the pack is almost certainly being overridden or not enabled. Resource packs stack, and the topmost pack wins for any file both packs contain. A HUD or UI pack placed above Enhanced Boss Bars will hide its boss bar textures entirely.

Step-by-Step Fix

1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.

2. Look at the right-hand column (the active packs). Confirm Enhanced Boss Bars is actually there and not stuck in the left column.

3. Drag Enhanced Boss Bars to the very top of the active list.

4. Click Done so the pack reloads.

5. Trigger a boss bar again to test.

If It Still Fails

• Check that the pack file is a valid resource pack and not a mod jar; a jar placed in the resource packs folder will not load.
• Temporarily disable every other pack and test Enhanced Boss Bars alone. If it works alone, re-enable packs one at a time to find the conflict.
• Some servers send custom boss bars through plugins. Those may use their own textures and ignore your pack, which is expected behavior, not a bug.
