How to Get Started with Energized Power: Your First Power Setup

Build Your First Solar Cell and Battery

Start by crafting a Basic Solar Cell — it generates energy passively from sunlight and is the cheapest entry point into the mod. Place it outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Next, craft a Battery (Tier I) to store that energy. Connect the solar cell to the battery using Energized Power cables (energy pipes). Cables carry energy between generators, storage, and machines.

Power Your First Machine

With stored energy, craft a Basic Machine Frame and use it to build a Powered Furnace or Crusher. Place the machine adjacent to your cable network so it receives energy. Machines only consume power when actively processing, so a single solar cell plus a small battery can run one machine during daylight. If you play at night or underground, expand storage with additional batteries before adding more machines.

Expand Carefully

Each machine has an internal energy buffer and a maximum input rate. If a machine isn't running, check: (1) the battery has charge, (2) cables connect both ends, (3) the machine's buffer isn't full. Upgrade to Advanced Solar Cells and Advanced Battery Boxes once your basic setup is stable — they produce and store far more energy and unlock higher-tier machines.
