Energized Power FAQ

Craft a Basic Machine Frame and Basic Circuit first, then build a Basic Solar Cell to generate power and a Battery Box to store it. Connect machines to the Battery Box with cables so they receive energy.

The main early power source is the Basic Solar Cell, which generates energy from sunlight during the day. Upgrade to the Advanced Solar Cell for more output, and store the energy in a Battery Box so machines keep running at night.

Use a Battery Box (or Advanced Battery Box) as your energy buffer, and connect it to machines with cables. Machines pull or receive energy from the connected network, so place the Battery Box centrally and run cables to each machine.

Press Molds are used in the Gear Press, Rod Press, and Wire Press to shape materials into gears, rods, and wires. You craft a Basic or Advanced mold for the shape you need, place it in the press, and feed in the matching material.

Place a Charger or Advanced Charger next to your energy network and put chargeable items inside to fill them up. Use the Uncharger to drain energy back out, and the Minecart Charger/Uncharger variants to handle Battery Box Minecarts on rails.

Basic Item Conveyor Belts move items along a path, and you use Loaders, Mergers, Sorters, Splitters, and Switches to control how items enter, combine, and branch. Place them in a line and connect the loader to a chest or machine output.

The Auto Crafter handles standard crafting recipes when supplied with power and ingredients, while the Assembling Machine handles multi-step or special recipes. Feed them via conveyor belts or hoppers and pull the output into a chest.

Smelt or process your base metals in the Alloy Furnace to produce Advanced Alloy Ingots, then press them into plates. Combine those with other components to craft Basic and Advanced Circuits, which are required for most advanced machines.

Check that the machine is connected to a Battery Box or generator with cables, that the Battery Box actually has stored energy, and that the machine's energy buffer isn't already full. Solar Cells only produce during the day, so add storage for nighttime.

Energized Power uses its own energy system, so it generally doesn't share power with other tech mods' cables without a converter. Performance is usually fine for small setups, but large conveyor belt networks and many machines can add tick load, so keep runs compact.
