How to Craft and Use Press Molds in Energized Power
What Press Molds Do
Press molds are reusable tools that let you shape materials in a press. The mod includes Basic, Advanced, and Auto variants of Gear, Rod, and Wire press molds. Each mold type produces a specific output shape from ingots or plates. You need the matching mold in the press to make that item.
Making Molds
Craft a mold by combining the appropriate materials in a crafting grid — the recipe differs per mold type. If you're unsure, check JEI/REI for the exact recipe. Auto Press Mold Maker automates mold creation once you have the required inputs, saving manual crafting time.
Using Molds in a Press
Place the press block, insert the mold into its mold slot, then feed the base material (ingot or plate) into the input slot. Supply energy via cables. The press will output the shaped item into its output slot. Basic molds work in basic presses; advanced molds require advanced presses. Auto molds are used by automated systems and don't need manual insertion.
Tips
- Keep one of each mold type — they don't get consumed.
- Use a hopper or conveyor to feed materials automatically.
- If the press won't run, verify energy, mold slot, and input material are all correct.
