How to Automate Crafting with the Auto Crafter and Assembling Machine

Auto Crafter vs Advanced Auto Crafter

The Auto Crafter performs crafting recipes automatically when supplied with ingredients and energy. The Advanced Auto Crafter handles more complex recipes and/or higher throughput. Both need to be configured with the recipe you want — open the GUI and set the pattern, or place a ghost item in each slot.

Assembling Machine

The Assembling Machine is used for multi-step or special recipes that a normal crafting table can't do. It consumes energy and takes inputs from its inventory, producing outputs into its output slot. Use it for advanced components like circuits and machine frames.

Feeding Inputs

Automate input delivery with Item Conveyor Belts or hoppers. Place a belt loader on a chest full of ingredients, run belts to the crafter's input side, and let it pull items. Output can be extracted with another belt or hopper into storage.

Power Requirements

Both machines need a steady energy supply. Connect them to your battery network with cables. If they stall, check energy buffer, input availability, and output space. Set the recipe correctly — a wrong pattern produces nothing.
